Archive
The archive contains the driver card and tachograph files downloaded previously, as well as files imported from external sources. From here you can open them for analysis, save them to a file, and share them with others. The archive is also where you find the backup/restore functions.
Two archives: driver card and tachograph
Downloads are stored separately by type, and when you open the Archive you can choose from three options:
- Driver card downloads — files created during the downloading of driver card data;
- Tachograph downloads — files created during the downloading of tachograph data;
- Backups.
What do you see for an entry?
Driver card download archive entries contain the driver's name, date of birth, the driver's card number and its expiry date. The download timestamp is shown at the bottom.
Tachograph download archive entries contain the vehicle's registration plate, VIN number and the date of the tachograph's next inspection. The download timestamp is shown at the bottom.
For the most recent download entry per driver and per vehicle, the app highlights the download timestamp to warn about upcoming and overdue download deadlines (driver card every 28 days, tachograph every 90 days).
What can you do with an entry?
Tapping an entry opens the action menu. From here you can start generating reports (Informations, Activities, Work time summary, Vehicle usage, Visited countries, Rest planning, Infringements, Speeding, Speed graph) as well as perform file operations:
- Copy to file — saves the file to your device's (phone/tablet) file system, where you can use it in any way you like;
- Share (eMail, …) — shares the file using a suitable app on your device (phone/tablet);
- Delete from archive — deletes the entry (with confirmation).
If you tap an entry that was downloaded earlier, the reports will reflect the state at the time of that download. You can, for example, check what infringements appeared or what the rest planner showed on a previous download.
Managing the list
- Filter by a specific driver or vehicle (appears when there is more than one driver or vehicle in the archive).
- Store to zip file — compresses all files in the archive into a single zip file and saves it to the device's (phone/tablet) file system. If a filter is active, only the visible entries are included.
- Delete all — deletes all files in the archive (with confirmation). If a filter is active, only the visible entries are affected.
- Import a new file using the button in the bottom-right corner (see Import file).
Backup and restore
Five operations are available from Backups:
- Save to cloud / Restore from cloud — to and from our server;
- Save to file / Restore from file — to and from the device's (phone/tablet) file system;
- Store to zip file — to the device's (phone/tablet) file system. Saves only the downloaded files.
Newer versions of the app can read backups created by older versions. But not the other way around! Therefore, before restoring a backup, always make sure you are using the latest version of the app.
If you cancel your subscription, the Store to zip file function is available to retrieve the files stored in the app.
Saving to cloud or file includes all downloaded data (driver card and tachograph), your own manual entries (notes, holidays, activities) and your settings. Restoring does not overwrite existing entries — it only adds the missing ones. The zip file save includes only all downloaded data. The app does not have a restore-from-zip function.
If you enable automatic backup in Settings, the app will regularly save to the cloud on its own. When reinstalling — after accepting the privacy policy — the app will offer to restore from the cloud.
