Vehicle Usage
This report is generated from data downloaded from a tachograph (M-file) and summarises how much each driver used the vehicle. For data downloaded from a driver (tachograph) card, its counterpart is the vehicle-based Vehicle Usage.
What does an entry show?
The layout is similar to the vehicle-based view, displayed in two rows:
- Top row: the driver's name, the slot icon (slot 1 = driver, slot 2 = codriver), and — where GPS (GNSS) data is available — a map icon that opens the Map with the route.
- Bottom row: the starting and ending odometer readings, and the distance covered as the difference between the two (km or miles, according to settings).
Slots: driver and codriver
The tachograph manages two card slots: slot 1 belongs to the driver, slot 2 to the codriver. The slot icon shows which slot each entry comes from — so even with a multi-person crew it is clear who was the actual driver during a given period.
Reliability. The distance covered here is also derived from odometer readings; if a value is missing or suspicious, the app discards it and displays the distance in red.
Weekly and monthly summaries
From the menu you can request Weekly summaries or Monthly summaries. Period headers and summary rows then appear, showing the driving time and distance covered for each period. The sort order can be set in three ways from the menu (by period and by day, in ascending/descending combinations).
Filtering and export
- The top filter lets you narrow the view to a specific driver (All drivers is the default).
- Export starts with the What type of data would you like to export? question: the odometer-based list as PDF or Excel, or the raw GPS positions into Excel.
