Importing a file
You can also bring tachograph files created with another device (e.g. another reader or previously with the Pro version) into the app and analyse them together with your own downloads.
What files can be imported?
Standard tachograph files: .ddd, .esm, .tgd and .c1b (the vehicle-side counterpart is .v1b). The app recognises whether the file contains driver card or tachograph data based on its content — the extension alone does not determine this.
How do you import?
- open the file on your phone (from a file manager, an email attachment, or a browser) — the system will offer the app to open it; or
- in the Archive, use the add button to browse for the file(s) (multiple files can be selected at once).
A successfully imported file is added to the archive and can be analysed just like your own downloads.
Every imported file is added as a separate entry — the import does not merge or deduplicate items (importing the same file twice creates two entries). Merging is handled by the reports: the summary views process multiple entries together, so data spanning several years can be assembled.
If the file is not a tachograph file, is corrupted, or has an invalid name/timestamp, the app will indicate this (e.g. Invalid File Format, The file is too old). Importing — like all features — requires a valid subscription or trial period.
