Rest planning
Planning calculates from your most recent status when and for how long you can still work, when you must take a rest, and which rest durations are applicable — taking into account compensations and the rules that apply to you.
A status bar at the top of the screen shows where you stand: You can still work, You have to finish working!, or during a rest Continue the rest period!. The Valid: row shows which point in time the calculation refers to (the time the card was read, or a future time set with the time machine — the latter is shown with a highlighted background).
The planning screen is divided into sections, and most fields only appear when the relevant situation applies (e.g. bus driver mode, multi-manning, split rest, compensation, or a limit being close). You will therefore not see every field at all times.
Driving time
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Continuous (max 4.5 hours) | Driving time without a break; alongside it, the longest break taken in the shift. |
| Daily (max 9 / 10 hours) | Today's driving time (normal limit 9 hours, extended to 10 with permitted extension). |
| Extended day (max 2) | How many more times the 10-hour daily driving limit may be used this week (maximum 2). |
| Weekly (max 56 hours) | Total driving time for the current week. |
| Fortnightly (max 90 hours) | Driving time for two consecutive weeks. |
Working time
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Daily | Daily working time; when night work is present the limit is 10 hours (depending on the setting — see Working Time Summary → Night time). |
| Weekly (max …) | Weekly working time measured against the configured limit. |
| Multi-month average (max 48 hours) | Average weekly working time under the Working Time Directive over the configured reference period. |
Next daily rest
The No later than value shows by when you must start your daily rest. Below it are the possible durations — each shown when its condition is met: regular (11 hours), reduced (9 hours), split (3+9 hours) and multi-manning (9 hours). The Reduced (max 3) counter shows how many reduced daily rests you have left between two weekly rests.
Next weekly rest
Here too the No later than deadline and the possible durations are shown: regular (45 hours) and reduced (24 hours). For international transport a separate indicator warns if an international reduced weekly rest may apply, and the deadline for the next regular weekly rest (45 hours) may also appear. In bus driver mode the longer rests under the 12-day rule (69 / 90 hours) are also shown.
Possible finishing times
This section shows how long you can still work, depending on which rest you plan to take afterwards (regular/reduced daily, split, multi-manning, or weekly and bus variants). Where you have already reached the condition for a scenario, the value turns green.
Compensation
If you have previously taken a reduced weekly rest, you must make up the difference later. The Compensation section can show up to three such debts, with the remaining time and deadline. Using their checkboxes you can simulate what happens if you include a given compensation in the next rest — the app immediately recalculates all deadlines and the "you can still work" times.
Base country
If you are not in your base country, the Return deadline appears (according to the four-week return rule). The base country is set in Settings.
Time machine
To try out future situations, use the Time machine button in the top-right corner (available when the last event is a rest that started recently). You can try two scenarios:
- Work — How long do you plan to keep working? Enter the planned additional work duration, and the planning calculates as if you were working until then.
- Rest — How long do you plan your current rest to be? Enter the planned rest duration (it cannot be shorter than the actual rest so far), and see how the deadlines work out.
While the time machine calculation is active, the Valid: row is shown in a distinct colour to indicate that you are viewing an assumed state, not the real one.
