Working Time Summary
The working time summary totals the time spent driving, on other work, on availability and on breaks — day by day and by period, with values shown next to their icons.
Display modes
Choose from the menu how the data should be grouped:
| Mode | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Weekly/Shift | Broken down by shift, with a weekly summary. A "shift" is the work between two daily rest periods. |
| Monthly/Shift | Broken down by shift, with a monthly summary. |
| Weekly/Day | Broken down by calendar day, with a weekly summary. |
| Monthly/Day | Broken down by calendar day, with a monthly summary. |
If a shift crosses midnight, the shift-based view (Weekly/Shift) is shown by default.
What do the values next to the icons mean?
Each day/shift row (and the summary row) shows the following values, each with its own icon, in hours:minutes format:
| Icon | Value | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| 🚛 Driving | Driving time | Time spent driving. |
| 🔧 Work | Other work | Work other than driving (loading, administration, vehicle inspection, etc.). |
| ⏳ Availability | Availability time | Time on call (e.g. waiting, co-driver resting during multi-manning). |
| ⏸ Break | Break / rest | A break interrupting work, or the daily rest period. |
The row also shows the distance travelled (according to the odometer), and the row's total working time (driving + other work, optionally including availability/breaks depending on the settings).
The summary row
At the end of each period (week/month, or shift) a summary row appears, which totals the above values for the period and adds the following:
- Shift length (in shift view) — the total duration of the shift from start to end;
- Distance travelled for the period;
- Counts (if higher wage period display is enabled) — e.g. number of shifts, number of night shifts, nights spent in the vehicle, and number of days off;
- any note rows with indicators for the period.
Night time and the related setting
The app handles work performed during night hours separately. The night period boundaries (e.g. 22:00–06:00) are set in Settings, and the summary highlights work falling within that period.
Directly related to this is the The night work does not limit the daily working time setting:
- Off — the daily working time upper limit is 10 hours on days when night work was also performed.
- On (⚠️) — when night work is present, the daily working time may exceed 10 hours. Enable this only if the regulations applicable to you allow it.
This setting affects whether the "worked more than 10 hours in a day while also working at night" item appears under Infringements.
Higher wage period
Enabling the Higher wage period menu option causes the summary to also display a second value row: a separate total of driving/work/availability/break time falling within the premium period (typically night hours or another period you define). This lets you see at a glance how much time may qualify for a higher rate of pay.
What counts towards the higher wage / paid time is determined in Settings:
| Setting | Effect |
|---|---|
| Higher wage period (start–end) | Which part of the day counts as premium. |
| Paid availability | Whether availability time counts as paid. |
| Paid break | Whether breaks are paid: none / only short ones (under a specified number of minutes) / all / all except the mandatory 45-minute break / all except the first N minutes. |
Further menu options
- Rests — show rest periods in the list (in shift view).
- Summaries — show only summary rows for a compact overview.
- Toggle sort order for periods and days (e.g. Period ↓ - Day ↓).
- Export in PDF or CSV format.
Additional settings that affect the calculation. The Availability can be considered as a break and Short breaks (<15 min) do not count as work options affect how the app calculates continuous work and working time. See the Settings page.
